Where information comes from

Most information comes directly from the individual. We may also receive lawful enquiry information from Checkatrade, MyBuilder, Rated People, letting agents, landlords, existing customers, affiliates, suppliers or another person authorised to act for the customer.

Why we use it

We use personal information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, visit properties, deliver and manage work, schedule teams, take payment, keep accounts, handle complaints, manage safety, recruit workers, prevent fraud and improve services.

Our lawful bases may include steps before a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, and consent where the law requires it.

Who we may share it with

Information may be shared on a need-to-know basis with employees, vetted subcontractors, accountants, insurers, professional advisers, payment providers, website and email providers, booking or customer-management systems, and public authorities where required. We do not sell customer personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep records only as long as reasonably necessary. Financial and contractual records may normally be retained for at least six years where required for tax, legal or claims purposes. Unsuccessful recruitment records are normally deleted after six months unless the applicant agrees to a longer talent-pool period. Enquiries that do not proceed are reviewed and removed when no longer needed.

Photographs and case studies

Job photographs used for assessment, safety or records are handled for those purposes. Identifiable customer, family, address or personal-property details will not be used publicly as a marketing case study without appropriate permission.

Security and international services

We use reasonable technical and organisational controls. Some technology providers may process information outside the UK; where relevant we use providers and safeguards intended to meet UK data-protection requirements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, individuals may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data and withdraw consent. A request can be sent to tdeverythinguk@gmail.com. We may need to verify identity.

Complaints and contact

Please contact us first so we can investigate. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Cookie details appear in our Cookie Policy.
