We know choosing the right building company can feel risky. That’s why we believe in total honesty from day one — clear pricing, solid timelines, and no over-promising. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners across Devon.
Do you handle everything or do I need to hire other trades?
Yes — we handle everything. Carpentry, plumbing, electrics, decorating, landscaping — all managed in-house by our trusted team. You’ll only deal with one company, one quote, and one project manager (Martin), from start to finish.
Are your quotes fixed or can the price change?
All quotes are provided as detailed estimates before work begins. The only reason costs would change is if you add extra work or materials outside the agreed scope — and we always confirm this with you in writing before doing anything.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, we take a deposit upfront to secure your booking and cover materials. The amount depends on job size but typically covers one week of labour and all materials. This keeps your project locked in and ready to start on schedule.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3–6 weeks ahead, especially for larger jobs. We do get fully booked quickly, but we also keep short-notice slots for smaller jobs and emergencies.
Are you insured and registered?
Absolutely. We’re CIS-registered, fully insured, and follow all UK building regulations. Every trade we send out is qualified and vetted to our own high standards.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all of Devon, including Exeter, Exmouth, Paignton, Torquay, and surrounding towns. For larger projects, we’re happy to travel further afield — just ask for availability.
